SIR JAMES HAWKEY HALL

Sir James Hawkey Hall was named after the First Charter Mayor of the Borough of Wanstead and Woodford. The hall, which can seat up to 483 people, was opened by Sir Winston Churchill.

For nearly sixty years the hall has served the local community and is a popular venue for most types of events such as Wedding Receptions, Parties, Concerts, Exhibitions, Bar Mitzvahs, Meetings and Civil Ceremonies.

The layout of the hall, which includes a large stage, means that it is also suitable for stage performances and shows. The hall is also licensed to undertake Wedding Civil ceremonies and Civil Partnerships.

Situated on Broomhill Road in Woodford Green, it is a short distance Woodford High Road, and has great links via bus (route 275) or train (Woodford tube station).

Facilities include stage, lighting and sound system, foyer, green room, two dressing rooms, kitchen and servery, portable bar, round serving tables, trestle tables, disabled toilets and a car park.

The hall is available to hire 7 days a week, until late.
