Mobility issues SEN

 

We have staff experienced in working with people with a variety of special needs and have found that we can adapt activities to help anyone to take part. Our diesel launch and our Bradwell ketch allow a whole group to get on the water with the instructor and leaders/helpers in one craft.

 

Our general teaching fleet of traditionally built seaways provide a large, stable teaching platform for up to three students and we have a some specifically designed access dinghies; almost impossible to capsize, their basket seat and joystick controls mean they can be sailed 1 handed with no need to move in the boat.

If transferring from a wheelchair to a boat is an issue, our access power boat allows wheelchairs to drive straight on and into the driving position via its drop down ramp in the bow.
