DISABILITY AND INCLUSION

All of the following activities and events give disabled people the opportunity to take part in a sport and physical activity of their choice and at a level they would like to participate.

Afterschool - Multi Sports (8-14 yrs)

Monday 4.30pm – 6pm at the Jack Carter Centre, The Drive, Ilford

The session is for young people with a disability and/or special educational need and their siblings or a friend. Try out some new activities, learn new skills, have fun, make new friends

Multi Sports (15+)

Tuesday 11am– 12.30pm at The Jack Carter Centre, The Drive, Ilford

The session is open to all disabled adults (15+). Come and try boccia, kurling, football, table tennis, hockey, badminton, short tennis and wheelchair basketball.

Inclusive Youth Club

Tuesday 6pm - 8pm at Wanstead Youth Centre, Elmcroft Avenue, Wanstead E11 2DB.  Contact [email protected] or call 01245 264 783

Wheelchair Basketball (10 yrs+)

Sunday 12noon – 1pm at The Jack Carter Centre, The Drive, Ilford

The session is open to both disabled and non-disabled people.

 

The Sport & Health Team and their partners also offer the following events:

Adult events:

  • New age kurling
  • Boccia
  • Multi sport events (Learning Disability Week)

Young People events:

  • Swimming (School Swimming Gala)
  • Athletics London Youth Games (swimming, football, athletics, boccia)
  • Panathlon Challenge
