POWERBOATING


Fairlop Outdoor Activity Centre can offer a combined RYA level 1 & 2  Inland powerboat certificate which covers two days.

Courses are run using a 5 metre RIB which is fully equipped with modern navifationalaids and VHF radios. Personal buoyancy and wet weather clothing can also be supplied.

The course covers both slow and high speed manoeuvres and are successful completion of the course the International Certification of Competence can be applied for from the RYA.

RYA Safety Boat (Inland)

This runs between 09.00 and 17.00 on Saturdays and costs £180.00. This course is for 18 years and over.

This test can be carried out for £30.00


Powerboat Taster Sessions

We offer these great taster sessions in the 5 metre RIB for two people at a cost of £79.00

Event Name:   Level 1 and level 2 RYA Powerboat Courses

These courses are two days and the Level 2 will provide the basic qualification for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC). Please see the RYA website for details of the ICC.

Courses are run by experienced RYA Powerboats Instructors on Fairlop Lake.

A minimum of three different powered craft will be used including a displacement ‘inboard’ diesel and two types of fast planning craft.

The course covers slow and high speed manoeuvres. Man over board, leaving and coming alongside, picking up a mooring and much more.

Safety equipment and wet weather clothing can be supplied.

Instructor ratios are 3:1

Most Courses are run over a single weekend, however, with 2 or more students booking course dates can be by arrangement.
